What I Am About

So why did I even make this blog? Well, if you read what this is supposed to about, you might have gotten the drift a bit. But it might have also had you wondering a little more about the author of this site. Well then. Here you are in the right place.

First off, I am a proud Albertan…yes, I am Canadian, and proud of it. Especially with our medal haul in the 2010 Olympics.

Anyway, I love the prairies, and I love our mountains, though you are more likely to catch me on a farm than hiking in the mountains. I love my wide open fields too much.

I am a girl who loves her books. I always have. I have loved to read and write all my life. My parents never had to force me to read, rather, they did the opposite. They had to tell me to stop reading.

Things have changed as I have grown up. When you hit higher grades, then you can’t always have your nose in a book. I got involved in volleyball, which is another passion of mine. I focused more on homework, school, and friends more than I did books. But once I had the chance, I was able to go back to my old friends where I could escape into another world.

My favorite place to read? Out in the backyard under the trees in the summer (see the picture on the homepage) or out in a field on my grandparent’s farm. If I don’t have those options, well, give me any blue sunny sky, or a big comfy couch.

Writing is a passion as strong as reading and volleyball. I am currently writing a novel that has grown before me, pages expanding and expanding until I hit big milestones like 50 pages, 100, 150, 200. It continues to grow.

So. Now that you know a little about me and a bit about the why of this, welcome.
